Before auditioning make sure to read all of the information below:
Ballet Quad Cities’ “The Nutcracker” is a professional production. Casting is determined by costume availability, dancer’s height, skill level, and stage presence. If cast, you will be expected to attend all rehearsals for your role. All rehearsals in the theater the week of the performance and all performances are absolutely mandatory. Rehearsals will begin in October and be held on Tuesday and Friday nights from 6:00-8:30 and Saturdays from 12:45-5:00. Your role will be rehearsed at some point each week during these time slots. Each week’s specific schedule will be emailed at least one week prior to rehearsal. All communications will be via the email address: castballetqc@mediacombb.net. Use this email address to communicate about Nutcracker schedules and questions. Check your email often; it is you and your dancer’s responsibility to keep track of your dancer’s schedule. Missing an email will not be an excuse for missing a rehearsal. There will be a costume fee for each role, and specific shoes and tights will need to be purchased by each dancer to wear for performances. In order to keep all cast members safe in the dressing rooms, each cast member will need to have a parernt volulnteer during a minimum of three performances. All cast members will be performing in Davenport, and will be traveling to Cedar Rapids to perform. Costume fittings will be announced at a later date.

September 22nd- Nutcracker Cast listed posted at the studio by 5:00pm. September 29th- All dancers accepting roles need to initial the cast list by the 29th. November 23-24th No rehearsals (Thanksgiving Break) November 25th- Mandatory full cast run through at the studio November 30th & December 1st- rehearsals at Paramount Theatre in Cedar Rapids, IA Saturday December 2nd and Sunday December 3rd - Public performance at Paramount Theatre December 7th & December 8th- rehearsals at Adler Theatre in Davenport, IA December 8th- 10:00am School Matinee performance at Adler Theatre December 9th 2:00pm, 8:00pm and December 10th 2:00pm Public performances at Adler Theatre
