MOLINE, ILLINOIS (February 18, 2026) — The Black Box Theatre located in downtown Moline will be holding auditions for their 2026 season on March 14 and 15. Added to the previously announced season will be Come from Away to be performed in late August through September 12 in honor of the 25th anniversary of 9/11. Each director is asking for specific preparation noted below. I love you, You’re perfect, Now change will hold auditions at another time.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (February 18, 2026) — Common Chord, the Quad Cities’ community music organization, announced the addition of Margot Day as the new development director. In this new capacity, Day will lead the organization’s efforts to develop resources that advance its mission of improving our community with the power of music.

Day started in her new role February 4. She joins the staff at Common Chord in this newly-created position at their downtown Davenport offices.

GALESBURG, ILLINOIS (February 2, 2026) — The Knox College dance program is pleased to announce the upcoming dance residency with professional company Chicago Dance Crash. The theme of this residency project is Community Healing through the Arts.

Co-founder and artistic director Lora Adams said, “It’s hard to believe it has been ten years since David Miller and I opened the doors to The Black Box Theatre, but here we are.”

With a little help from Glinda, the Good Witch, they’ll dance down the yellow-brick road and uncover the smarts, heart, and courage they need to defeat the Wicked Witch of the West. These four unlikely friends embrace their differences and use their personal strengths to support one another and work toward a common goal — to get to Oz!

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (November 12, 2025) —The Black Box Theatre in downtown Moline presents the classic play The Lion in Winter opening November 21 to December 6.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (November 5, 2025) — The Augustana College Department of Theatre and Film will present The Mousetrap November 13-16 at the Brunner Theatre Center, located at 3750 7th Ave, Rock Island, Illinois, on the Augustana College campus.

Performances will start at 7:30PM, November 13-15, and 1:30PM, November 16.

PELLA, IOWA (October 28, 2025)  Central College opens another exciting production season with Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel this Halloween weekend. Performances will be 7PM, Thursday, October 30; Friday, October 31; and Saturday, November 1, at the Kruidenier Theatre on Central's campus. A matinee performance also will be held at 2PM, Sunday, November 2.

MOUNT CARROLL, ILLINOIS (October 13, 2025) — Get ready for a fun filled evening of TRIVIA! Join us on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Manny's on Main Street in Savanna.
