Auditions For Remaining Shows at The Black Box Theatre

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (July 13, 2023) — The Black Box Theatre is holding auditions for the remaining shows in their 2023 season on Monday, July 17 from 6 to 8. Bring photo and resume and be prepared to sing. Ron May will provide accompaniment and will music direct Thrill Me.

Timber Lake Playhouse to Hold Workshops and Classes in The Arts

Well, “Jeff and Hunter, two self-confessed nobodies in New York, make a pact: They will write an original musical and submit it to a festival. The only catch? The deadline is in three weeks! They gather their two actress friends, Susan and Heidi, and their accompanist and music director, Larry, on the keys.

The Black Box Theatre Will Host “Funkyology” After Building Collapse Closed The Mockingbird on Main

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (June 8, 2023) — Haus of Rackus had been in rehearsals for their newest show at The Mockingbird on Main. Then the building collapsed, causing three deaths and numerous injuries and the closure of the theatre that had been housed in the building.

West Carroll High School Art Students Create New Mural at Timber Lake Playhouse

MOUNT CARROLL, ILLINOIS (June 5, 2023) — This past winter, Timber Lake Playhouse invited local high school art clubs to submit drawings for murals on the wall behind The Lake Stage. Two murals were chosen to for the project. One was a depiction of the Comedy/Tragedy Masks designed by Aden Stallings (above). The second was designed by Allison Duggan of two figures and a microphone “performing since 1961” (below).
