MOUNT CARROLL, ILLINOIS (May 25, 2025) — Timber Lake Playhouse, Illinois’ premier professional summer theatre, opens its highly anticipated season next week with the iconic hit musical, Saturday Night Fever, running May 30 through June 15, 2025.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (May 15, 2025) — The Black Box Theatre presents Fun Home, a musical based on the 2006 graphic memoir by Alison Bechdel. The adaptation features music by Jeanine Tesori with book and lyrics by Lisa Kron. The story is told in vignettes as Bechdel looks back on her life including her discovery of her own sexuality, her relationship with her closeted gay father, and her attempts to unlock the mysteries surrounding his life.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (March 5, 2025) — The intimate Black Box Theatre in Downtown Moline presentsAgatha Christie’s The Stranger opening on March 14.

The show features Jane Simonsen, James Driscoll, Cole McFarren, Avalon Willowbloom, Storm Marie Baca and Dee Canfield. Directed and designed by The Black Box Artistic Director, Lora Adams. “I am thrilled to have so many new faces in this show,” said Adams.

It is the Western front, Christmas 1914. Out of the violence of war, a silence, then a song. A German soldier steps into No Man’s Land singing “Stille Nacht.” Thus begins an extraordinary night of camaraderie, music, and peace.
