ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (October 3, 2025) — Bev’s Yarn Barn will hold a ribbon-cutting on Tuesday, October 28, 11AM, to celebrate their grand opening. The business is located at 323 18th Street in Rock Island, Illinois.

Bev’s Yarn Barn was created with one simple idea in mind: To bring warmth, creativity, and community back to the local yarn scene. Bev’s offers affordable yarns, classes, artwork from local artists, and a rotating vendor table, allowing them to bring other small businesses along for the ride.

Founded by Ashley Burroughs, a crafter and fiber enthusiast, Bev’s Yarn Barn is a response to a growing need in the Quad Cities a place where makers of all kinds can gather, learn, shop, and connect. When larger craft stores started closing and options became limited, Ashley saw an opportunity to build something meaningful and local.

Named in loving memory of her grandmother Bev, a woman known for her endless creativity and generous spirit, the shop is more than just a store — it’s a tribute to the kind of space Bev would have loved. One where everyone is welcome, whether you're picking up your first crochet hook or you’ve been knitting for decades.
