MOLINE, ILLINOIS (April 26, 2019) — The Black Box Theatre in downtown Moline is presenting “Silent Sky” by Laura Gunderson. The Thursday, May 9 performance will be a fundraiser for the NormaLeah Ovarian Cancer Foundation. Tickets may be purchased at theblackboxtheatre.com. “We are delighted to partner with the foundation, we have long been personal friends, and it is our pleasure to be able to help support their work through this fundraiser,” said Black Box Theatre Co-Founder Lora Adams. Adams is also directing the show, which tells the story of Henrietta Leavitt, who died at the age of 53 of stomach cancer after an illustrious career as anastronomer.

The Black Box Theatre is presenting Thursday performances at a discounted price of $13. “Silent Sky” is presented Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30PM, and Sundays at 2PM. Regular ticket prices are $16.

The Black Box Theatre is a 501(C)(3) in its third year of presenting musicals, dramas, comedies, and specialty-acts in the intimate 60-seat theatre located at 1623 5th Avenue, Moline, Illinois.
