EAST MOLINE, ILLINOIS (August 9, 2024) — The Black Hawk Area Special Education District (BHASED) is excited to announce new administration, upcoming Open House and Unpack Your Backpack nights, and our steadfast commitment to fostering a positive culture and climate for the 2024-2025 school year. These events will be held on August 12 and 13.

We welcome students and families to our Phoenix Program (103 3rd Street, Carbon Cliff, Illinois) on August 12, 4-6PM, and to the Black Hawk Area Education Center (4680 11th Street, East Moline, Illinois) on August 13, 4- 6PM, for Open House and Unpack Your Backpack events to meet administration and staff.

On August 13, BHASED will have staff together to kick-off the 2024-2025 school year at the Camden Center in Milan, IL. School begins at the Phoenix Program and Black Hawk Area Education Center on Wednesday, August 14.

We are excited to introduce new members to our administrative team, who bring a wealth of experience and a shared dedication to enhancing educational experiences for our students. Our new leadership is committed to ensuring that every student and staff member receives the support they need to thrive.
