BETTENDORF, IOWA (August 9, 2026) — Statewide and local candidates will speak at the annual Scott County Democrats picnic on Sunday, August 16, 12-3PM, at Veterans Memorial Park in Bettendorf.

Candidates include the following:

● First District Congress: Christina Bohannan

● State Attorney General: Nate Willems

● State Auditor: Taylor Wettach

● State Treasurer: John Norwood

● Secretary of Agriculture: Chris Jones

● Secretary of State: Ryan Peterman

● Scott County Board of Supervisors: Tim Carr, Kevin Randle, Steve Doerscher

● Scott County Recorder: Toby Paone

● State Representative District 70: George Pickup

● State Representative District 81: Dan Gosa

● State Representative District 93: Keith Soko

● State Representative District 97: Adam Peters

● State Representative District 98: Andrew Fitzgerald

● State Senator District 35: Mike Zimmer

● State Senator District 41: Tom Wieck

● State Senator District 47: Nikhil Wagle

● State Senator District 49: Cindy Winckler

The event will feature music with a DJ as well as lawn games and crafts for children. The menu includes hot dogs, brats, and hamburgers with sides and dessert. A raffle will be offered for three chances to win a gift card to a grocery store of the winner’s choice.
