MOLINE, ILLINOIS (September 23, 2026) — A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2:30PM, to celebrate the opening of Candle Witch Company (1421 5th Avenue, Moline).
Located in downtown Moline, Candle Witch Company is a new candle and gift shop owned by mother-daughter duo Dani Jones and Hannah Rosenbaum. Jones originally started the business years ago in Kentucky.
The Candle Witch Company name reflects the family’s Appalachian roots and their belief in the magic of everyday life. Candles have long been part of people’s routines and traditions, from birthdays and relaxation to religious events. The shop offers handmade soy-wax candles, wax melts, beeswax candles, and a variety of unique gifts for the home and heart. With Moline now the family’s hometown, bringing Candle Witch Company to downtown was a natural fit.
Moline Centre staff, City staff and leadership, members of SSA N° 6, and representatives from Renew Moline will be in attendance.
