Learn cutting-edge techniques that will help you catch more crappie by enrolling in Crappie University at Black Hawk College in Moline.

The program consists of four, two-hour evening classes from Feb. 15 to March 7. The course is offered early in the year to prepare anglers to pursue crappie year-round, learning the seasonal patterns of when, where and how to catch them at all times.

Crappie University benefits crappie anglers of every level as its curriculum covers a range of topics. Gary White, the founder of Bass Fishing Techniques and Bassmaster University, established Crappie University in 2015.

All sessions are taught by national instructors who have the latest knowledge and techniques as well as crappie experts who are personally familiar with the local fishing waters.

Sessions will be from 7:30-9:30 p.m.:

  • Thursday, Feb. 15
  • Wednesday, Feb. 21

  • Wednesday, March 7
