NORTH LIBERTY, IOWA (July 27, 2022) — The Corridor Business Journal (CBJ) today announced details of its first annual Diversity, Inclusion, and Impact Symposium, to be held August 17 at the Hyatt Regency Coralville.

Presented in partnership with GreenState Credit Union, the Symposium will educate and inspire business and community leaders with nationally known speakers and best practices on the critical topics of diversity, equity, inclusion and engagement (DEI&E).

LaDrina Wilson, founder of Iman Consulting, will kick off the morning with a keynote on cultivating inclusion: moving from Midwest nice to creating a sense of belonging. Ms. Wilson has spent over 15 years breaking down barriers and building paths to access for students in the world of higher education. Her work in community college leadership has created opportunities to partner with various businesses in a variety of different industries to tackle community issues such as the achievement gap, skilled workforce challenges, and talent attraction and retention.

The Diversity, Inclusion, and Impact Symposium is designed to meet employers where they are, no matter how far they are in their DEI&E journey. Additional speakers and topics include:

● Broderick Binns, Greenstate Credit Union Welcome and Ice Breaker

● Tina Gridiron, ACT’s Center for Equity in Learning Hiring with Diversity in Mind Moderator

● Jason Glass, Iowa Tippie College of Business Hiring with Diversity in Mind Panelist

The event will conclude with a luncheon keynote by Amy Tolbert, founder and principal of ECCO (Energizing Cultural Change in Organizations) International. As a Distinguished Faculty Member at Carlson Executive Education, Dr Amy Tolbert is the founder and principal of a global firm — ECCO (Energizing Cultural Change in Organizations) International — which specializes in helping individuals expand their productivity and organizations increase their profitability.
