PELLA, IOWA (November 7, 2019) — Area students are among 53 Central College performing with the A Cappella Choir on its Central Iowa tour that will make four stops over three days from November 8-10. Several performances are free and open to the public.

Students performing include:

Elizabeth Hurlburt of Muscatine (52761)

Central's A Cappella Choir is a 60-voice auditioned collegiate ensemble that performs regularly in Iowa during the academic year and around the country. Past performance venues have included The Cathedral of St John the Divine in New York City and the National Cathedral in Washington DC.

The choir tours internationally every four years with a recent tour in Vienna, Austria, including a performance at St Stephan's Cathedral in 2017.

This year's Central Iowa schedule is:

Friday, November 8

  • 1PM at Belmond-Klemme High School, 411 110th Ave NE, Belmond, Iowa
  • 7PM at St Mark Lutheran Church, 1105 Grand Ave, West Des Moines, Iowa

Saturday, November 9

  • 4PM at St Ambrose Catholic Cathedral, 607 High St, Des Moines, Iowa

Sunday, November 10

  • 10AM at Cathedral Church of St Paul (Episcopal), 815 High St, Des Moines, Iowa
