IOWA CITY, IOWA (May 3, 2019) — On Tuesday, the Kamala Harris campaign returns to Council Bluffs as Harris’ Iowa Campaign Chair Deidre DeJear will speak at the Democratic Women’s Lunch Brunch. The group is a grassroots organization dedicated to electing progressive Democrats and building support ahead of 2020.

“We are thrilled to have the presence of Senator Harris’ campaign in Pottawattamie County; especially since we can welcome back Deidre DeJear! DeJear is an honorable and greatly respected person who we embraced in 2018,” Democratic Women’s Lunch Bunch Chair Linda Nelson, said.

This will give the Harris campaign another opportunity to hear directly from local leaders and Democratic women about the issues facing Council Bluffs area families. DeJear will discuss Harris’ plans to build an economy that works for all Iowans, guarantee access to health care, give teachers a raise, and take on challenges like climate change. Harris is running a campaign that is organizing in every corner of the state.
