BETTENDORF, IOWA (December 2, 2024) — The City of Bettendorf will host a ribbon cutting to celebrate the grand opening of The Landing Ice Rink (brand new permanent outdoor ice rink) on Monday, December 16, 4PM. The Landing Ice Rink is located at 2255 Middle Road in Bettendorf (across from the YMCA Sports Center).

The Landing Ice Rink is nearly 40% bigger than the City’s former temporary ice rink, Frozen Landing, which was set up and taken down every year from 2015 to 2022 and saw an average of 14,000 visitors each season. It’s part of a transformational project in the center of the City — the corner of Middle Road and 23rd Street — which also includes a state-of-the-art aquatic facility that will open in early summer 2025. You can find updates, designs, a livestream of the construction site, and more on the project’s web page by clicking here.
