DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 26, 2026) — Davenport Community Schools is pleased to announce its involvement in the 2026 Summer Food Service Program. Nutritious meals will be offered to children aged one through eighteen at no cost or income restrictions. The program will begin on June 8 at locations throughout Davenport including schools building sites and community partner sites.

Christa Andersen, FNS Specialist commented:

“This program continues to play a vital role in ensuring children in our community have access to healthy, nutritious meals throughout the summer, regardless of their circumstances. By providing these meals, we are not only helping address hunger, but also supporting student well-being and readiness to learn. It reflects our ongoing commitment to caring for and supporting every student we serve.”

Meals will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, at designated sites and times as outlined below:

To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form (AD-3027) found online at: https://www.usda.gov/oascr/how-to-file-a-program-discrimination-complaint, any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
