DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 16, 2022) — The Davenport Schools Foundation (DSF) will be awarding nearly $90,000.00 in Scholarships to graduating seniors from the four Davenport Community School District high schools: Davenport North High School, Davenport West High School, Davenport Central High School, and Mid-City High School.

We are hosting our second annual Scholarship Awards Open House Reception on Monday, May 23, 2022, 4-5:30 PM. Invited guests include Davenport School Board members, DCSD District Leadership Team, High School Principals and Counselors, Davenport Schools Foundation Directors, DSF Scholarship Community Committee members, DSF Scholarship founders/donors, and Student Scholarship Winners and their families. We anticipate 200+ to attend our event located at the JB Young Opportunity Center at 1702 Main Street in Davenport.

Open House Agenda:

  • Two-to-three-piece string ensemble for background ambiance performed by students from one of the area high schools;
  • Opportunities for scholarship student winners, their families, scholarship founders, and DCSD leadership to meet;
  • A presentation of the scholarship winners - walk across the stage;
  • A three-to-four-minute presentation from a DSF scholarship founder on why they gave to a scholarship fund and the significance of honoring their loved one; and
  • Light food and beverage to be provided.
