DAVENPORT, IA – On August 30, 2017, Paris Hollingshed, 37, of Davenport, Iowa, was sentenced by Chief United States District Court Judge John A. Jarvey to 120 months in prison for felon in possession of a firearm, announced United States Attorney Kevin E. VanderSchel. Hollingshed will serve three years of supervised release following his imprisonment. Hollingshed was found guilty of this charge after a three-day jury trial on March 3, 2017. In August of 2015, officers received information that Hollingshed, a felon, was in possession of guns and selling drugs. Officers executed a search warrant at Hollingshed’s residence and found a loaded Taurus 38 caliber handgun, along with evidence of drug trafficking, on August 20, 2015. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Davenport Police Department conducted the investigation. This case was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa. # # #
