DAVENPORT, IOWA (April 22, 2020) — The Davenport Public Library may be closed, but we are dedicated to providing online programming to keep us connected. Our newest addition to our virtual book clubs is Book Chatters, an online book club for adults who love talking about books!

Beginning April 27, 4PM, we will be talking about the books that we are reading so there is no need to worry about reading a particular book. All books are welcome, and you may get some good recommendations, too. We will be meeting on Zoom which is phone-, tablet-, and computer-friendly. Please register to receive the login information.

Keep up with our virtual programming on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/davenportlibrary/.

These events are FREE and open to the public. For more information visit www.davenportlibrary.com or call the library at (563) 326-7832.

Help Keep the Reader Alive and Free Since '93!

"We're the River Cities' Reader, and we've kept the Quad Cities' only independently owned newspaper alive and free since 1993.

So please help the Reader keep going with your one-time, monthly, or annual support. With your financial support the Reader can continue providing uncensored, non-scripted, and independent journalism alongside the Quad Cities' area's most comprehensive cultural coverage." - Todd McGreevy, Publisher
