DAVENPORT, IOWA (January 30, 2023) — Celebrate #ColorOurCollections Week by picking up a take-home coloring kit from The Library and consider joining us in person for an evening of coloring. We have designed a coloring kit for you to enjoy and learn more about our area's local history and collections. Twenty kits will be available for pick up at Main, Eastern, and Fairmount. Kits are available to pick up Monday, February 6, through Friday, February 10, while supplies last.
Included in each kit is:
- a four-count package of crayons;
- a coloring booklet;
- a black and white sticker to color; and
- a mystery bonus.
The fun isn’t over- join us on Wednesday, February 8, 6:30PM, Fairmount, and Saturday, February 11, 4PM, Eastern, for a relaxing evening of coloring our sixth-annual coloring book created from materials and books in the Richardson-Sloane Special Collections Center. Coloring supplies will be provided.
ColorOurCollections.org is a weeklong event at the beginning of February that supports the exploration and connections between libraries, their collections, and their communities.
