Davenport Public Library Presents "Lincoln the Lawyer: Portrayals of President Abraham Lincoln"

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 22, 2020) — Explore history through Kevin Wood's vivid portrayal of Abraham Lincoln, one of our nation's most beloved and esteemed historical figures. On May 28, 6PM, Davenport Public Library will present Lincoln the Lawyer: Portrayals of Abraham Lincoln on the Library’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/c/DavPubLib.

Mr Lincoln will share his experiences and thoughts on the law, including his preparation, some of his most important cases, and his advice to actual and prospective lawyers, eg, "If you cannot be an honest lawyer, resolve to be honest without being a lawyer".
