JOHNSTON, IOWA (June 30, 2020) Delta Dental of Iowa, a leading vision-insurance provider in Iowa, has announced the DeltaVision Provider Relief Program of up to $500,000 to offer financial assistance to network vision providers. Iowa's eye-care providers have been closed or offering minimal services due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This program reinforces Delta Dental's commitment to ensuring the health and safety of our customers and supporting our vision providers.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been very disruptive to vision providers as many have offered only limited services over the last few months. The DeltaVision Provider Relief Program provides financial assistance for vision providers who have been affected by COVID-19 disruptions and addresses immediate cash-flow needs. More than $500,000 has been allocated for DeltaVision providers through this interest-free loan program.

"As a health and wellness company, we are committed to maintaining our services to our customers, but we wanted to do more for Iowa vision providers who care for our DeltaVision members," said Jeff Russell, president and CEO of Delta Dental of Iowa. "For fifty years, Delta Dental has been committed to helping improve the health and smiles of Iowans. Through our COVID-19 relief programs for dentists, vision providers, members, businesses, and non-profits, we are continuing these commitments during this trying time."

Many vision offices are also small businesses. With many vision offices closed or only providing limited services during the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a significant financial impact on these employers and their employees. Vision providers, participating in the EyeMed Vision Care networks, who provide services to DeltaVision members can request funds through July 10 by contacting Delta Dental's professional relations team at provrelations@deltadentalia.com.

Delta Dental of Iowa and its Foundation have supported Iowa dentists, non-profits, businesses, and members with a number of COVID-19 relief programs. To learn more about these relief programs visit www.deltadentalia.com/coronavirus.
