
DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 17, 2025) — As the iconic Quad-City Times Bix 7 race returns to the streets of Davenport, downtown will be buzzing with live music, family fun, food, and festive energy. The Downtown Davenport Partnership (DDP), with support from The Bechtel Trusts and community partners, is proud to help amplify the celebration with vibrant entertainment offerings for all ages.
"Bix Weekend is one of the most energizing times of the year as a true Quad Cities homecoming," said Alisha Espey, Program and Event Director for DDP. "We’re excited to help enhance the experience with activations that bring people together through music, food, and a shared sense of pride in our community."
Bix Jazz and Family Jam — Friday, July 25 | 4–8PM | Kaiserslautern Square
Kick off your weekend with live jazz, local eats and family-friendly fun! This free event celebrates the musical spirit of Bix Beiderbecke with entertainment for all ages. Enjoy performances by the Ron Tegeler Jazz Trio and The Blackhawk Broadcasters and grab a bite from food vendors like Chicks N’ Dips and the brand-new Happy Joe’s food truck.
NEW! Motor Row Victory Lane — Saturday, July 26 | Starting at 9AM | E 2nd Street between Iowa and Perry
Introducing downtown’s newest race-day tradition! Motor Row Victory Lane is a high-energy block party designed to keep the celebration going after the race. Whether you ran, cheered, or strolled into downtown, everyone is welcome to soak up the post-race excitement.
Highlights include:
- Live music curated by Sean Moeller/Raccoon Motel featuring Feems, Sparkle Carcass, Busman's Holiday, and Carly Cosgrove.
- Family Fun Zone with bounce houses, games, and interactive kids’ activities.
- Food trucks and drinks from top local vendors.
- Shop small at the businesses on Motor Row.
- Victory vibes all day long!
Bix Mix Street Party — Friday and Saturday | W 3rd Street between Ripley and Harrison
Bix Mix keeps the party going into the evening with live performances, vendors, and street fest fun. Expect great music, dancing, and a Downtown Davenport vibe that stretches late into the night.
“From the starting line to block parties, Bix Weekend is more than a race, it’s a full-on Quad Cities homecoming celebration. With thousands of visitors and returning locals in town, it’s also a powerful opportunity to showcase all that Downtown Davenport has to offer,” said Espey. “Downtown Davenport Partnership is proud to support community programming that adds energy, inclusion and lasting memories to one of the region’s most cherished traditions.”
Additional Bix week event highlights include the Brady Street Sprints, Arconic Jr Bix, Common Chord’s Live @ 5, and QC River Bandits games with fireworks at Modern Woodmen Park.
