DAVENPORT, Iowa – Aug. 3, 2017 – Waseem Ahmad, M.D., has been named medical director of the Genesis Sleep Disorders Center. In addition, he serves as Medical Director of Neurodiagnostics at Genesis Medical Center, Davenport and Genesis Medical Center, Silvis.

Dr. Ahmad is Board Certified in both Neurology and Sleep Medicine. He attended Punjab Medical College and completed his residency in Neurology at University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. He was named Best Resident and Best Chief Resident.

Dr. Ahmad of Genesis Health Group, Neurology has been practicing in the Quad Cities community for more than 10 years. He specializes in General Neurology and Sleep Medicine, which includes neurological testing, EEG, EMG, sleep studies, and the evaluation and treatment of disorders of the brain, spine and nervous system.

Genesis Health System’s Sleep Disorders Center and its board-certified sleep physicians offer relief from conditions, such as: excessive snoring, insomnia, sleep apnea, narcolepsy, periodic limb movement disorder, and sleepwalking.

The center’s Davenport location is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Genesis also offers sleep studies at: Genesis Medical Center, Aledo; Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt; Genesis Medical Center, Silvis; and Jackson County Regional Health Center, Maquoketa.
