DAVENPORT, IOWA (February 15, 2019) —
What: The PACG [Progressive Action for the Common Good] Drug Policy Forum has organized a public educational forum to address the need to improve Iowa’s medical cannabis laws by expanding qualifying conditions and raising the 3% cap on THC to actual therapeutic levels. As Iowa has some of the harshest marijuana laws in the country, we will also address the need for decriminalization and harm reduction.
Where: St Ambrose University — Rogalski Center, W High St, Davenport, IA 52803
When: Saturday, February 16, 2019, 10AM-Noon
Why: The mission of the PACG Drug Policy forum is to advance policies and attitudes that focus on harm reduction of both drug-use and drug-prohibition. We advocate for the use and regulation of drugs grounded in science, health, compassion, and human rights. We believe the war on drugs must end. Together we work to ensure that our nation’s drug policies no longer arrest, incarcerate, disenfranchise and otherwise harm millions — particularly young people and people of color who are disproportionately affected by the war on drugs.
