DAVENPORT, IA (January 24, 2019) — February 2019: Gilda’s Club is hosting a FREE workshop for anyone impacted by cancer titled “Eating Plant Based on a Budget” on Monday, February 11, 2019 from 6PM–8PM at Gilda’s Club (1234 East River Drive, Davenport, IA).

Worried that healthy eating is too expensive? Wanted to get more from your food dollars while eating well? Curious about a Plant-based diet?

Join Drs True & Price for a fun and educational presentation about health benefits of plant based eating. We will explore ways to achieve it without breaking the bank!  We will demonstrate healthy plant based foods and share recipes — all with a budget conscious approach.

A plant passed diet includes:

•              Cutting out processed foods

•              Avoiding animal products

•              Eliminating added sugar

•              Concentrating on fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, etc

Anyone impacted by cancer is welcome to attend. Registration is required. RSVP online at https://www.gildasclubqc.org/calendar.
