Disaster Site Worker #186193

This training program is for Disaster Site Workers who provide, or may provide, skilled support services (e.g. utility, demolition, debris removal, hazardous materials response, or heavy equipment operation) or site clean-up services in response to natural and manmade disasters. Specifically, it is recognized that all workers at disaster sites need to be aware of the differences between disaster sites and regular construction or demolition worksites and be able to inspect, don, and doff air-purifying respirators. Also, the program will provide awareness to management and labor that pre-incident training is essential for ensuring disaster site workers' safety and health. Workers, supervisors, and managers tasked with providing support to first responders and cleanup operations need training and access to information that is timely and relevant in order to facilitate a safe and efficient disaster response operation. This is a shortened version of the 15-Hour Disaster Site Worker course. (* Pre-requisite: Completion of the 10- or 30-hour OSHA Construction or General Industry Outreach Training. OSHA's Disaster Site Worker courses do not cover in detail the safety and health hazards that occur on a daily basis on a normal worksite.)

Crystalline Silica Training #192255

Exposure to respirable crystalline silica can cause silicosis, lung cancer, other respiratory diseases, and kidney disease. OSHA is issuing two standards to protect workers from exposure to respirable crystalline silica-one for the construction industry, 29 CFR 1926.1153; and the other for general industry and maritime, 29 CFR 1910.1053-in order to allow employers to tailor solutions to the specific conditions in their workplaces. Enforcement begins September 23, 2017 for the construction industry. This course is for individuals who will be working in areas where exposures to crystalline silica may occur, as well as those who will be designated as the Competent Person under the requirements of the silica final rule. Receive training to ensure your company's compliance with the new silica regulations. Participants will learn a) how to identify silica hazards in the workplace; b) health hazards associated with silica exposure; c) how to protect employees and properly mitigate exposure; and d) how to fully comply with all parts of the new regulations, including compliant tools and engineering controls, air sampling, medical monitoring, and written program requirements.
