BETTENDORF, Iowa – On Friday evening, April 21, Family Resources will hold their annual Opening Doors Gala at the Waterfront Convention Center in Bettendorf, Iowa. The gala is the agency’s largest fundraiser of the year with more than 300 guests in attendance. Funds raised will support all of Family Resources programs including counseling, group foster care, and services for survivors of domestic or sexual abuse.

Gala attendees have the opportunity to enjoy a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, dinner, and both live and silent auctions. WQAD’s Jim Mertens will be the emcee for the evening. Dress for the evening is cocktail attire with black tie optional.

You will hear from a client who received support from several of the agency’s programs and recently committed to attend college on a football scholarship.

“The Opening Doors Gala provides critical funding to fulfill increased community needs and innovative new practices and approaches agency wide,” says Mary Macumber-Schmidt, President of Family Resources.
