On 09-03-17 at approximately 4:05 am Scott Emergency Communications received a 911 call reporting a single vehicle accident in the 9000 block of 140th St. Scott County Sheriff’s Office, along with Blue Grass Fire Department, MEDIC Ambulance, Buffalo Police Department, Scott County Conservation Officers, and Iowa State Patrol responded to the scene.

A 1999 Chysler 300 bearing IA dealer plates of D4821 was traveling westbound on 140th St and attempted to overtake a vehicle to the right on the gravel shoulder. The vehicle lost control and crossed both lanes of travel, entered the median and rolled. The driver was ejected from the vehicle. Both vehicle and driver landed on the south side of 140th St. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Brian Jermaine Johnson, 35 years of age, from Blue Grass Iowa.

The accident remains under investigation, nothing further at this time.
