DAVENPORT, IOWA (January 21, 2020) — Instructors from the Federal Emergency Management Agency Regions V and VII will be conducting a training class for flood-plain-management certification in the Quad City region January 28-31, 2020, 8:30AM-5PM, at Western Illinois University/Quad Cities Campus. The course, “Managing Flood-Plain Development Through the NFIP,” is being presented at no charge to registered participants.

River Action Inc of Davenport, Iowa, has organized this event in coordination with FEMA representatives and the Illinois Office of Water Resources as part of the Quad Cities Flood Resiliency Alliance activities. Participant meals will be provided through funding from Quad Cities Community Foundation Q2030 program and Iowa American Water.
