DAVENPORT, IA – July 2017 –Gilda’s Club is hosting a FREE workshop for anyone impacted by cancer titled Finding Reliable Cancer Resources on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at Gilda’s Club (1234 East River Drive, Davenport, IA). In light of a cancer diagnosis, the Internet can be a scary place. Unless you know which reputable sites to navigate, browsing your favorite search engine may cause more harm than good when looking for cancer resources. Fortunately, there are local and national resources to assist you with many of the issues that come up, including: •               Emotional support •               Financial help •               Transportation assistance •               Housing/Lodging •               Children’s Services •               Home Health Care Nancy Phelps, LISW, LCSW, will teach cancer patients, survivors and caregivers how and where to find reliable resources.
