DIXON, IOWA (January 15, 2026) — On Saturday, January 24, 12:30PM, there will be a Forage to Fork: Winter Edition program held at the Wapsi River Environmental Education Center in Dixon, Iowa.
Come learn about the many wild edibles in your own neck of the woods. We will focus on foraging basics, foraging safety, identifying plants, and preparing wild edibles. We will take a hike outdoors to identify and forage some of the winter wild edibles available during this time.
After the hike, put your cast iron cooking skills to the test and make pancakes served with hickory syrup and tea out of our foraged ingredients over a campfire!
Program fee of $2/person for supplies payable at registration.
Online registration is required. To register, go to: https://iascottctyweb.myvscloud.com/webtrac/web/iteminfo.html?Module=AR&FMID=73168524
