Today, January 15, Fred Hubbell, Democratic candidate for governor of Iowa, released the following statement celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

"Today we celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his fight to make our world a more equal, just, and peaceful place," said Fred Hubbell. "His legacy is a reminder of what is possible when we stand together against those who would use our differences to divide us. In this new year, let us work together to build a more perfect union, a more fair and just society where every individual has an opportunity to succeed."
