They style show will feature clothing lines from Cato, The HallTree Boutique and LeChic Prom & Pageant.

Attendees at Runway Red help Gilda’s Club provide support to people with cancer and their families in the Muscatine County. Among other services, the funds raised will provide:

  • Support groups both for someone with a diagnosis and their family members.

  • A survivorship program which helps people deal with the emotional, physical, and nutritional consequences of a cancer diagnosis.

  • Educational workshops such as Coping with the Cost of Care, Side Effects of Treatments, and New Discoveries in Treatment.

The State Health Registry of Iowa projected 240 new cancer diagnoses in Muscatine County in 2017. This put Muscatine in the top 15 counties for highest projected number of new cancers in the state and, according to Susan G. Komen Quad Cities, Muscatine County has one of the highest rates of breast cancer in the state of Iowa, including a rising level of late stage diagnosis.

When cancer strikes, psychosocial support can be critical to one’s cancer journey. Gilda's Club has been offering such programs since 2013 in the Muscatine area.
