DAVENPORT, IOWA (April 29, 2021) — Gilda’s Club is hosting a FREE virtual workshop for anyone impacted by cancer on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, 6-7:30PM, via Zoom.

Join us for a FREE webinar with Walgreens Pharmacists Steven Donnelly/Pharm.D and Tom Truong/PharmD to learn the role of specialty pharmacy as it relates to the coordination of care and to discuss how to manage commonly occurring cancer side effects.

This workshop will also be broadcast via Facebook Live at facebook.com/gildasclubqc.

Steven Donnelly/PharmD practices as the manager of specialty operations at Community, A Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy in Des Moines, Iowa. Donnelly is responsible for connecting patients, prescribers, and organizations throughout Iowa with the resources necessary to make often expensive and complicated medication therapies accessible and successful. Tom Truong/PharmD is the pharmacy manager for Community, A Walgreen’s Pharmacy, in Iowa City, Iowa. Truong is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy, as well as building and growing relationships among specialists in the community to help their patients with access to medication, financial burden, and clinical consulting.
