DES MOINES, IOWA (July 15, 2019) — Governor Kim Reynolds announced her appointment of Cheryl Arnold to chair the Iowa Public Employment Relations Board, effective today. The term will end April 30, 2022.

“I am grateful to Governor Reynolds for the privilege and honor to serve the state of Iowa in this important role,” said Cheryl Arnold. “As the chairperson for the PERB, I look forward to promoting positive relationships between state and local governments and their dedicated employees.”

Arnold previously managed the Hy-Vee Distribution Center in Chariton and was a member of the Board of Supervisors in Appanoose county.  

Arnold’s appointment is subject to Senate confirmation in the 2020 legislative session.
