DES MOINES, IOWA (December 13, 2021) Governor Kim Reynolds released the following statement today in response to the Eighth Circuit’s ruling denying a stay of the district court’s injunction of the CMS vaccine mandate rule while the case is on appeal:

“The court made the right decision,” Gov Reynolds said. “This mandate would have only worsened the workforce shortage in our health-care system, leaving Iowans without the care they need. President Biden should rescind this unlawful rule and respect the personal liberties and freedoms of our health-care workers.”
