DES MOINES, IOWA (May 17, 2019) — On Friday, May 17, Governor Kim Reynolds signed the following bills into law:

HF634: An act relating to certain boards and councils in the Department of Human Rights, including the establishment of the Justice Advisory Board and the elimination of the Criminal and Juvenile Justice Planning Advisory Council, the Public Safety Advisory Board, and the Sex-Offender Research Council.

HF685: An act relating to the payment of required medical-aid provided to prisoners of county jails.

SF377: An act extending immunity from tort liability to certain nonprofit corporations providing emergency-response services.

SF608: An act making appropriations to the Department of Cultural Affairs, the Economic Development Authority, the Iowa Finance Authority, the Public Employment Relations Board, the Department of Workforce Development, the College Student Aid Commission, and the State Board of Regents and certain regents institutions, and properly-related matters.

SF616: An act relating to appropriations to the judicial branch.
