Saturday, February 11, 2017 - CHICAGO – Governor Bruce Rauner today attended a deployment ceremony for the 633rd Theater Gateway Personnel Accountability TeamThese 10 Soldiers will be based in Kuwait and assist in tracking approximately 20,000 Soldiers, DOD Civilians and contractors that annually enter and depart the United States Central Command.

“Everyday we are reminded of just how much our men and women in uniform sacrifice to protect our freedom and way of life,” Governor Rauner said. “Thank you for your service to our great state of Illinois and to the United States of America. We owe you a debt of gratitude we can never repay. The people of Illinois will keep you in our thoughts and prayers, and we wish you a safe deployment. God bless you.”

The Team will be responsible for the initial reception, staging and onward movement of personnel deploying to the Central Command area of responsibility.  The 633rd also coordinates the reception, lodging and movement of personnel from all branches for the rest and recuperation leave, emergency leave, and temporary duty.

Governor Rauner previously attended the deployment ceremony for the 710th Area Support Medical Company at North Riverside Armory.
