WHITEWATER, WISCONSIN (September 1, 2026) — Grace Bohnert, a undeclared major from Milan, Illinois, and graduate of Sherrard High School, will compete for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater volleyball team during the 2026 season, which begins September 1.
The Warhawks, who boasted an impressive record of 26-8 during the 2025 season, are coming off their 36th postseason appearance, reinforcing their reputation as a perennial force in collegiate volleyball.
The Warhawks are anchored by two returning American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Americans, Abbie Dix (Brodhead, Wisconsin/Brodhead), and Aubrie Krzus (Wheaton, Illinois/Warrenville South).
Dix, entering her senior year as a middle-hitter, has dominated the nation in blocking over the past two seasons, while Krzus, a senior setter, runs the offense.
The team, under the leadership of Head Coach Stacy Boudreau, who ranks seventh among active Division III coaches with a remarkable win percentage of .777, is poised to leverage its experience and talent.
This season, the team has strengthened its roster by adding a pair of transfers and nine freshmen. The team is ranked sixteenth in the AVCA Preseason Poll and is projected to finish third in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC).
The Warhawks' 2026 campaign kicks off at Russell Arena on September 1. The team will face its first road challenge at an invitational in New Jersey, followed by a significant non-conference test at the Calvin University Invitational, where they will encounter formidable opponents, including N° 9 Calvin. The Warhawks open their conference play against UW-Stout on September 24 and close the season with a high-stakes matchup at current N° 1 UW-Oshkosh on November 7.
