CANTON, MISSOURI (May 14, 2021) — Three members of the Culver-Stockton College softball team have been named to the 2021 Heart of America Athletic Conference All-Conference Softball team.

Pitcher Grace Preston earned second-team honors while catcher Taryn Brown and shortstop Alle Thompson were honorable-mention selections.

Preston, a junior from Taylor Ridge, Illinois (Rockridge HS) 61284, was named to the second team after compiling a 5-4 overall record, a 1.91 earned-run average and two shutouts in thirteen appearances this season. Preston made eight starts overall and hurled 66 total innings this season. In conference play, Preston went 4-3 with a 1.88 earned-run average. She pitched 52 total innings in league-play and league opponents batted .235 against her. She also recorded one shutout in Heart play.

Culver-Stockton College, located in Canton, Missouri, is a four-year residential institution in affiliation with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). C-SC specializes in experiential education and is one of only two colleges in the nation to offer the 12+3 semester calendar, where the typical 15-week semester is divided into a 12-week term and a 3-week term.

C-SC is affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
