WASHINGTON – Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley and Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein today requested follow-up briefings from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe on matters the former Director committed the FBI to providing the committee.

Grassley and Feinstein also requested that Rosenstein, McCabe or both provide the full membership of the Senate Judiciary Committee a briefing on the Russia investigation similar to the briefing Grassley and Feinstein received from then-Director Comey on March 15.  As the committee of jurisdiction over both the FBI and the Department of Justice, it is important that members of the committee have an understanding of the FBI’s investigations of Russian interference in the 2016 election.

The committee leaders requested that the FBI and Justice Department call to set dates for the briefings by 5 p.m. today.
