DAVENPORT, IOWA (August 4, 2025) — Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities in partnership with the Jaycees of the Quad Cities and the Davenport Jaycee Foundation will be presenting a new accessibility ramp at Café on Vine at 2PM, Thursday, August 7. Davenport Jaycee Foundation generously sponsored this project as well as gave their time to pre-build ramp the sections that will be installed. Chapter President, Brianna Powell has this message:

“The Jaycees of the Quad Cities and Davenport Jaycees Foundation are proud to support Café on Vine by helping sponsor the construction of a new accessibility ramp. Café on Vine is an invaluable part of our community, providing free, nutritious meals to those in need every single day of the year. Their commitment to serving the hungry with dignity and compassion is truly inspiring.

We believe that access to a meal and a welcoming space should be available to everyone regardless of physical ability. By contributing to this important project, we hope to help ensure that all members of our community can access the support and care Café on Vine offers.”

Waunita Sullivan of Cafe on Vine, Tom Fisher-King of Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities, and Brianna Powell of Jaycees of the Quad Cities will be presenting the ramp to the public at 2PM as well as installation of a plaque to mark the occasion and opportunity for questions.

On the cooperation between the three agencies, “When mission meets mission, impact multiplies. Together, we’re not just serving the community — we’re strengthening it,” per Tom Fisher-King, CEO, Habitat for Humanity QC.
