DAVENPORT, Iowa – Oct. 30, 2017 – Genesis Grief Support has scheduled a series of events for anyone struggling with grief during the holidays.

“Suffering the loss of a loved one at any time of year is difficult, but during a holiday period, the grieving may be more intense,’’ explained Jon Yarian, grief support coordinator, Genesis Health System. “The world can be celebrating around you while we experience a darkness overshadowing the holiday.

“The special conversations will help people who are grieving prepare for the holidays and provide coping skills for how we feel.’’

The sessions are free. The public can attend as many sessions as desired.
