WEST LIBERTY, IOWA (February 2, 2026) — Iowa Donor Network (IDN) is honored to reflect on the extraordinary impact of organ and tissue donation in 2025. This year was one of continued generosity and hope. The selflessness of Iowa’s donor heroes continues to impact lives, bringing comfort and healing to families and recipients across the state and beyond.

In 2025, Iowans once again demonstrated their unwavering commitment to transforming lives through the gift of organ and tissue donation. A total of 1,604 donor families were served, 124 organ donors gave the gift of life, 376 organs were transplanted, 144 organs were recovered for research, and 1,308 tissue donors helped restore health and healing.

This year also marked an important transition for the organization as long-time CEO Suzanne Conrad retired after decades of dedicated service. Under her leadership, IDN grew into one of the nation’s leading organ procurement organizations. Philip Blumberg assumed the role of CEO in 2025 and brings a renewed focus on innovation, collaboration, and strengthening the mission.

“Iowa Donor Network’s success is built on the compassion and generosity of donors and their families,” said Phil Blumberg, CEO of IDN.

“In their most difficult moments, they choose to give others the chance to live and heal. Their generosity is an inspiration, and we are deeply grateful to honor their loved ones and their legacy.”

IDN works closely with hospitals, transplant centers, EMS providers, medical examiners, and health-care partners statewide to ensure every opportunity for donation is realized. Together, we celebrate the incredible legacy of generosity and connection that continues to shape our communities.
