The Campus Forgiveness Plan of 2017, was developed by recently passed legislation for the purpose of aiding individuals who obtained large amounts from the federal government to go to college. To access this program, a person must not be taking courses this term and if they are currently employed, it greatly boosts their chance of qualifying. They also need to be holding a balance of at least six thousand dollars to qualify. Once a person’s eligibility is validated and they choose to sign up, they can acquire either a reduction of their amount owed or full discharge of the total from history. The amount is derived based off of a person’s family size and occupational description.
