August 28, 2017 – Iowa City, Iowa – EXEPERIENCE the glitz and glamour of New York this Fall as Iowa City Community Theatre presents MAME, by Jerome Lawrence and Robert Edwin Lee, directed by Richard Tiegs, with musical direction by Wes Habley.

THE STORY: Set in New York City and spanning the Great Depression Mame focuses on eccentric bohemian, Mame Dennis. Her fabulous life with her wealthy friends is interrupted when the young son of her late brother arrives to live with her. They cope with the Depression in a series of adventures. The cast features Marcia Hughes (Mame Dennis), Joshua James Johnson (Patrick Dennis, age 20), Santiago Perez (Patrick Dennis, age 10), Ellen Stevenson (Vera Charles), Carole Martin (Agnes Gooch), David Roe (Beauregard Pickett Burnside), Josh Sazon (Ito), Minsu Song (Sally Cato), Pauline Tyer (Mother Burnside), Roger Phelps (Mr. Babcock), Mark Jagnow (Mr. Upson), Sheila Wayson (Mrs. Upson), Ali Heath (Gloria Upson), Elinor Levin (Pegeen Ryan), Jeff Emrich (Lindsay Woolsey), Nick Ruzianski (Ralph Devine), Andy Stewart (Doorman), Emilee Cruchelow (Messenger), Glen Schmidt (Policeman and Cousin Jeff).
Assistant Director, Donola Morris-Leong, Costume Designer, Karle Myers, Set Construction, Jim Mayfield, Properties Director, Ruth Fisher, Stage Director, Evelyn Stanske all make this show come to life.
