Des Moines, IA – Today, Iowa Democratic Party Chair Troy Price released the following statement marking the celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day: “Martin Luther King Jr. Day represents the best of our country: a yearly reminder that citizenship includes service to our communities. Times are tough, but we cannot forget that our commitment to living in peace with one another in this beautiful nation transcends any attempts to divide us. Service is the key to maintaining that commitment, and we hope that every Iowan will join us in reflecting upon the legacy of Dr. King and use our skills and talents to make this state a better place for everyone who calls it home.”
