Des Moines, IA – Today, Iowa Democratic Party State Central Committee Member and College and Young Democrats of Iowa President Danielle Templeton released the following statement in response to the proposed tuition hikes at the Regents Universities:  “Governor Reynolds and the Iowa Republicans are directly responsible for the tuition hikes at the Regents Universities. Their special interest-driven priorities created the Reynolds Budget Crisis and the need for drastic cuts, which they chose to target at Iowans who want to get ahead through education.  They can spew their talking points all they want, but we know that they put their wealthy, special interest donors ahead of our futures, and we’ll remember it on November 6th.”
