DES MOINES, IOWA (March 16, 2019) — Iowa Democratic Party Chairman Troy Price issued the following statement in response to Secretary Betsy DeVos’ visit with Governor Kim Reynolds: “Kim Reynolds and Betsy DeVos have sadly come together to plot out their unified agenda: to weaken our public-education system and enact their secretive school-voucher tax-credit scheme. Not only have both Gov Reynolds and Sec Devos unleashed some of the worst attacks on public-education in decades, they are firm believers that public-taxpayer money should be used for private education. Our students deserve so much more — instead of leaders like these who are chipping away at the foundation of a quality, public education.”
