DES MOINES, IOWA (September 17, 2026) — The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) has announced its 2027 Preferred Homeownership Partners, recognizing ten mortgage lenders and two real-estate agents for their leadership, expertise and commitment to helping Iowans achieve homeownership through IFA programs.
Preferred Homeownership Partners go above and beyond to build their expertise in IFA’s mortgage and down payment assistance programs. Designees complete specialized training, demonstrate a strong history of working with IFA programs, and commit to delivering an exceptional level of service to Iowa home-buyers.
“Home-ownership can be life-changing, and having a knowledgeable lending and real-estate professional in your corner can make all the difference,” said Iowa Finance Authority and Iowa Economic Development Authority Director Debi Durham.
“Our Preferred Homeownership Partners have invested the additional time and effort to become trusted experts in IFA programs, helping more Iowans confidently access the resources available to make home-ownership possible.”
IFA’s Preferred Homeownership Partners are part of a strong statewide network of mortgage lenders and real-estate professionals working to expand home-ownership opportunities for Iowans. Every participating IFA partner plays a vital role in connecting home-buyers with affordable financing and assistance programs.
The Preferred designation provides additional recognition to professionals who have completed specialized training and demonstrated extensive experience with IFA programs.
Together, IFA and its lending and real-estate partners help thousands of Iowans each year explore affordable financing options, overcome common barriers to purchasing a home, and take an important step toward long-term financial stability.
